I came to know about these organizations through my friends. Both of them do not directly perform field work but make fund arrangements for NGOs who doesn't have reach in big cities.
Sanvedana does have an option for doing volunteer work on the projects it has taken, but I need to get more info on this.
For the time being its website is given below, please go through it. The organization is based in pune.

SEARCH, Gadchiroli
Dr. Abhay Bang and Dr. Rani Bang work in Gadchiroli on health projects through their NGO, SEARCH.
The difference in their work and other organizations work lies in their method. Their work in the area of infant mortality rate caused attention to this issue in Maharashtra and caused the government to act to decrease infant mortality rate.
They have published research papers based on their work in LANSET.
Creating a pool of volunteers from tribal areas needs special mention here.
Also need to mention their initiative 'NIRMAAN' which would help to the restless youth of Maharashtra to find their goals.
One can find every information about their work on (detail : http://www.searchgadchiroli.org/).
More information about Dr.Abhay and Rani Bang can be found in a book 'Karyarat'.
